Hisham Elhaddad is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at HOF Capital, where he focuses on machine learning, robotics and enterprise software.
He is a lead investor in Mach Music, a mobile value-added services company in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Serving on the board, he helped facilitate the firm’s expansion into 9 Latin American countries.
In collaboration with Onsi Sawiris and Fady Yacoub, Hisham co-founded Energal, a sustainable energy company tackling transmission and distribution inefficiencies in emerging markets.
Hisham previously worked at Entrepreneur's Roundtable Accelerator (ERA), an early stage fund and technology accelerator in New York. He helped source new investment opportunities and advised portfolio companies on growth and fundraising strategies.
Earlier in his career, he was a data analyst at Switch SuperNap (NYSE:SWCH), which builds and operates the highest-rated colocation data centers in the world.

Onsi Sawiris is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at HOF Capital, where he focuses on cloud-based technologies, and enterprise SaaS.
Onsi currently sits on the boards of: ItaliaOnline (BIT:IOL) (Italy), Voltaire Capital (UK), Digital World Capital (UK), Mach Music (US), Energal (Egypt), World Capital Services (UK), and is a Board Observer at Orascom TMT Investments (Luxembourg, Egypt, UK).
Prior to HOF Capital, Onsi worked in TMT-focused M&A at Arma Partners, a specialist technology investment bank, overseeing the $36m sale of web hosting service providers Verio and Site5 to industry leader Endurance International Group. Onsi also co-founded Energal, a hyperlocal sustainable energy company tackling distribution inefficiencies in emerging markets. Earlier, Onsi worked at Switch Supernap (NYSE:SWCH), a designer and operator of ultra-advanced data centers; Digital World Capital, a telecom-focused alternative investment management firm; UBS, a global investment bank; and INQ Mobile, a developer of mobile handsets and software.
As a Board Director of Mach Music, a Latin America-focused mobile value-added services company, Onsi closely oversaw the successful joint venture between Mach Music and ARPU+, a mobile value-added services company servicing the MENA region. In 2015, Onsi joined the board of Italiaonline after the successful reverse merger between Libero’s internet subsidiary ItaliaOnline and Italian telephone directories publisher Seat Pagine Gialle, participating in the successful board approval in January 2016.

David was previously a Partner for six years with ff Venture Capital, one of the best-performing seed- and early-stage venture capital firms in the U.S. Previously, David advised clients such as Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group, Icahn Enterprises, LLR Partners ($1.4b fund), Birch Hill Equity Partners (C$2B fund), and other institutional investors.
David is Founder of Harvard Business School Alumni Angels of Greater New York, the largest angel group on the East Coast. David was formerly Founder of Navon Partners, a software startup which identified private companies for investment using public data sources, and Acting CEO of Vertical Key, a SaaS business for managing large-scale events. He was previously a Managing Director with Evalueserve, a 2,500-person global research and analytics company, and Founder and CEO of Circle of Experts, an investment research firm acquired by Evalueserve. David was formerly Founder and CEO of GoldNames, an Israel-based investment bank in the internet domain name asset class. He worked with Bear Stearns’ Investment Banking division in their technology/defense mergers and acquisitions team. Fady Yacoub is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at HOF Capital, where he focuses on technology-driven companies across sectors including energy, education, media, and blockchain.
Prior to HOF Capital, Fady worked at Digital World Capital, a technology-focused hedge fund, helping the firm expand its investment portfolio in Asia by overseeing the firm’s investment in Baidu and Qihoo 360. Prior to that, he was a Data Analyst at Switch (NYSE:SWCH). After DWC, Fady syndicated an SPV that invested into the Alibaba IPO (NYSE:BABA).
Fady earned both a BS and BA in Business Administration & Psychology from the University of Southern California.
Prior to joining HOF Capital, Victor spent 4 years as a technology investment banker and startup advisor in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and London, helping VC-backed technology startups raise funding and achieve successful exits.
His transaction experience includes Raydiance’s Series D round led by Samsung Ventures; ManageIQ’s $112m sale to Red Hat; Arkeia’s sale to Western Digital; Generix’s divestiture of its ERP business to Aurea; NTT’s divestiture of Verio to Endurance International Group; and Mobile Travel Technologies’ €70m sale to Travelport.
In his most recent role with Magister Advisors, a specialist technology investment bank based in London, Victor advised artificial intelligence, blockchain, and financial technology startups; and co-authored one of the most widely read reports on the blockchain industry, which was called “the most comprehensive report to date” by Business Insider.
Before becoming a technology investment banker and startup advisor, Victor worked in management and operations, leading a team of 150+ employees generating $30M+ of annual revenue. During this time, he learned first-hand the importance of a top-tier team, customer-focused culture, large market size, strong product-market fit, defensible competitive edge, and healthy unit economics on the ultimate success of a business.
Earlier in his career, Victor conducted genetic technology research at the Stanford University School of Medicine, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cell Biology with a Minor in Nutritional Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
Prior to joining HOF Capital, Karim worked for Flats Boston, where he advised on buy-side and sell-side real estate transactions, managed client investment portfolios, suggested potential acquisitions, and developed 5-year strategies for investments in the Boston area. He worked on the sourcing, acquisition, and development of a $40m vacant lot into a mixed-use building.
Previously, Karim worked for the Volkswagen Group, where he analyzed the Egyptian market, formulated a regional business development strategy, and proposed importing the Audi A1 model to compete with BMW and Mercedes. Decision to move forward with the strategy was green-lit by Audi management.
Earlier in his career, Karim helped streamline operations and head quality control in a textile manufacturing company in Egypt, which exports products to the UK, France, and Greece.
Karim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with a Minor in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University. Karim is fluent in English, Arabic and French.
Paul Quigley is an Associate at HOF Capital. In addition to traditional VC analyst duties, his responsibilities include building out HOF’s technology stack, which is used to source deals and test investment hypotheses.
He previously was a Software Engineer at Addepar, a technology startup providing financial insights to wealth managers ($1tr+ tracked on platform). Prior to that he was a Forward Deployed Engineer at Palantir ($20bn market cap, third largest US startup), working with a prominent hedge fund client. In addition he worked at BlazeMeter, an Israeli testing-as-a-service startup (acq’d by CA Technologies) doing digital marketing for them.
Paul researched motor control in the human brain at the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab, co-authoring two papers accepted to international conferences. He also researched novel uses for unmanned aerial vehicles at Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Paul has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a focus in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University.
Anne-Sophie ("Annie") worked at Objective Solutions International, a global executive search firm specialized in Finance and Technology. Her role included the sourcing of senior-level candidates from Senior Associate to Partner level, followed by first-step screening, coaching, salary negotiation and deal closing. She also spent time researching potential new client companies, business lines, and core competitors within the financial services, consulting, and tech industry marketplaces.
Previously, Anne-Sophie worked at Tiqqle, an early stage tech startup focused on bringing hyperlocal chat software to the mobile space, where she was responsible for all marketing and brand strategy efforts. As the head of the New York City Marketing Division, she oversaw the team conducting a field test across Manhattan and the boroughs. Her role also encompassed launching a social media campaign, and hosting promotional events for potential investors throughout NYC.
Anne-Sophie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics, with a minor in Business Management, from Columbia University. She is fluent in English, German and French, with a working proficiency in Spanish. She is a native of Germany, and grew up in Monaco.
Penny is the Chief of Staff at HOF Capital.
Prior to joining HOF Capital, Penny was the Operations Manager at ERA (Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator) where she worked closely with the Programs Director running their accelerator program, helped managed a portfolio of 165 companies, while juggling on other responsibilities like event planning, budgeting, logistics and production. Prior to that, she worked in retail management for 4 years at Zara and Reiss.
Penny was born and raised in Queens. When she’s not working, she enjoys cooking at home and traveling outside the city. She’s an amateur photographer who takes B&W photos with her vintage Pentax camera and develops her own film.
Mae is a Venture Analyst in the New York office.
Prior to this, she started SlickOp, an accounting advisory practice helping early stage startups with their financial & accounting. She also had previous experiences with Data Partnership at Thomson Reuters and Auditing at PwC China.
She has been actively involved in Venture Community since college, such as bringing Acumen Fund into social entrepreneurship classroom.
She graduated from Fordham University with Dual-Degree in Accounting, and is now continuing her study at NYU Graduate School, majoring in Communication.

Frank is a Venture Analyst at the New York office.
Prior to this he spent 2 years at Preferred Return, one of the top 409A speciality firms in the country (acquired by Gust, Inc.). There, he had the pleasure of working together with over 500 of the leading startup companies across the world (Series Seed up through pre-IPO) in an advisory and equity valuation capacity. While at Preferred Return, in addition to his primary function as a Valuation Associate, he also acted as the lead internal developer where he developed and maintained internal valuation tools for the entire valuation team. He previously also led market research for the CMO of Hillenbrand, a Fortune 500 company.
He is active within the startup community and has organized events such as Startup Weekend. He is also a contributor to the open source programming community in a Full Stack capacity and has developed applications such as WatchPod, a minikube tool that automates the build and deployment of pods.
Frank holds a bachelors degree in Economics from DePauw University.
George is a Venture Associate in the London office.
Before joining HOF Capital, George spent 4 years as a technology investment banker, helping business owners in Western Europe and CEE achieve successful exits via M&A.
Beginning his career as an Investment Banking Analyst, he gained his first exposure to M&A at Pallas Capital, a boutique investment bank located on the Vienna Stock Exchange. In 2014 George moved to London where he joined Clearwater Corporate Finance. His transaction experience includes Vanguard Healthcare Solutions €20.9m refinancing, Chase Search and Selection recapitalisation, GYMBOX €12.6m growth capital investment, Pet Food €315m sale to Pamplona and other. Later on George joined Benchmark International where he helped build the Oxford office as well as led and completed 6 more deals for UK technology SMEs.
George earned a Bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Business Administration with a Major in Finance from Lauder Business School. Currently he is enrolled in Judge Business School at University of Cambridge and working towards a Master Degree in Entrepreneurship, and is an active member of the Oxford University negotiations society at Said Business School.
Kelvin is a Venture Analyst in the London office.
Prior to this, he had previous product, corporate development and advisory experience with various companies and firms.
He previously was a Management Consultant at Accenture where he provided post-MBO implementation for a market-leading TMT client. Prior to that he was a Business Development Analyst at DHL Global Forwarding Management, working on global corporate strategy. In addition, he also worked at General Electric Aviation as an Aerospace Engineer focused on MRO initiatives.
He holds a Master (with First Class Honours) in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London.
Zhen is a Venture Associate in the London Office.
She is also currently a PhD student in the Department of Computing Science at Imperial College London, UK. Her PhD thesis is on the use of Artificial Intelligent in stock trading prediction. Beyond her PhD works, she has a wide range of publications in Artificial intelligence, from data privacy and security to computer vision. Zhen did her Master's degree at Imperial College in the Mathematics department, and her undergraduate at the University of Virginia, USA.
During her undergraduate studies, she joined two REU programs, at the University of Washington, and the College of William and Mary, to do research projects in applied Mathematics.
Before her PhD, she worked at the Met Group in London, trading Brent and WTI futures; and she has previously worked in the local government finance division for Albermarle County, Virginia, USA.
Zhen has been selected to be part of the Althea Women in Entrepreneurship program, and she works closely with entrepreneurs in her spare time, mentoring and helping them strategically.
She is originally from China, and speaks Mandarin and English.
Desmond is CEO and Co-Founder of Workstream, a hiring automation platform for companies employing hourly workers.
Previously, Desmond was a Product Manager with WeChat, a mobile app with over 1 billion monthly active users, based out of New York City. He was also an Investor with Dorm Room Fund, a venture capital fund focused on investing into student-run startups, and backed by First Round Capital, which has invested in companies like Uber, Warby Parker, HotelTonight, and more. Before that, he worked in Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Desmond started his first business at age 17, a tutor matching platform, which he founded to pay for college. In addition, he founded a Thai food restaurant his freshman year in college which he ended up selling before graduation. Following this, he founded several technology startups, that have been incubated into the Harvard Innovation Lab and featured in TechCrunch, Yahoo Finance, Tech in Asia, and more.
Desmond has written for TechCrunch, Huffington Post and Entrepreneur.com, and is an active angel investor in startups including Atrium, Jetpack, and more. Desmond represented Singapore in the National Basketball Youth Team in the South East Asian Games, and was an Infantry Officer in the army.
He graduated from Harvard University with a Masters in Public Policy, conducted research at MIT Media Lab on product design, and was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Stanford Business School’s Venture Studio.
Philipp currently advises FTSE 100 companies on corporate strategy pertaining to early-stage investments and acquisitions.
He founded his first company at the age of 16, and after brief stints at McKinsey and J.P. Morgan, he started his career in tech entrepreneurship as VP of Corporate Finance at Rocket Internet. Thereafter, he co-founded Lendico, the world's first cross-border P2P lending platform.
Leaving Lendico in 2015, Philipp started to invest in and support young companies in Berlin and London, including Voya.ai and MVP Factory. In addition, he began advising large corporates on their digitalization and investment activities.
Philipp is a recipient of the Forbes 30 Under 30 award, studied Business Administration at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany, and is a Fellow of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
Neil has 10 years of startup experience.
Currently, he serves as a Board Director at Vicarious Surgical, a stealth startup which develops virtual reality software for minimally invasive surgery procedures. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Board at Torchlight, a company that is pioneering legal innovation in defense of human rights and the pursuit of social justice for vulnerable populations.
Neil also continues to be an active advisor to seed / Series A startups.
Formerly, he was an Associate at Fenwick & West (legal counsel to Facebook, Google, Uber, Apple, and Whatsapp).
Varun Kapur has 10 years of investment banking and consulting experience. He currently manages corporate development at Auctus Fora (a Multi-Family Office) and Faber Capital, an investment bank in DIFC where he works closely with family offices & institutions to identify and structure co-investment opportunities. He has a keen focus on impact investing across emerging markets working on projects in Renewable Energy, Agriculture and Affordable Housing.
Previously, Varun worked at PwC where he advised Middle Eastern Governments on their long-term development strategies in addition to his family business in shipping and commodity trading.
Tom Wang is an Advisor to National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Taiwan, where he reviews NCKU’s high-tech incubator projects.
Previously, Tom was a Venture Partner with PTI Ventures, a Taiwanese VC firm, for more than 7 years, and was responsible for PTI Ventures’ investments in the US, including its investment in Rackable, which earned the firm a 36x return. Moreover, he served as a Board Director for a number of technology start-ups and contributed significantly to their Asian sales and business development.
Prior to joining PTI Ventures, he was President of Pulse Metric, a medical device company in San Diego, and President of Genoa Systems, a graphics card manufacturer in Silicon Valley. He has also served as a Vice President at Neo Solar Power (NSP), a solar cell manufacturer in Taiwan, a Senior Vice President at SiPix Imaging, an e-paper company in Silicon Valley, a Senior Vice President at Nortel Networks’ semiconductor unit in Shanghai, and President & Founder of Neo Group, a market research and consulting firm in Silicon Valley.
He holds BSEE and MSEE degrees from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, an MSEE degree from San Jose State University, and an MBA degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
Dr. Kid Parchariyanon
Dr. Kid Parchariyanon is the Founder and CEO of MCFIVA, a leading Thailand-based digital advertising agency and RISE, a leading corporate innovation accelerator platform in Southeast Asia. He is a serial entrepreneur who at the age of 19 developed and sold the first mobile stock trading application for the Stock Exchange of Thailand (now #1 stock trading app in the country) in 2005. In 2007, he started ITEUS - one of the first Healthcare IT consulting companies in Thailand, serving both public and private hospitals nationwide to adopt Health Information Technology and become Thailand’s first certified HL7 CDA specialist.
In 2011, he founded MCFIVA, a digital advertising agency which manages multi-million dollar advertising campaigns for Fortune 500 companies in Thailand and Southeast Asia. In 2013, the D2C Inc (Japan) - NTT Docomo Group of companies acquired a sizable stake in MCFIVA and invested into the company to expand into SEA.
In 2016, he founded RISE - Corporate Innovation Accelerator to work with large conglomerates and governments in SEA to innovate faster through its unique accelerator and entrepreneur programs. RISE is now one of the largest accelerators in SEA with 600+ startups having graduated from the program and a combined valuation of over $300 million.
Dr. Kid holds a MS in Biomedical Informatics from Oregon Health and Science University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Mahidol University. He is also the former President of the Digital Advertising Association Thailand, Co-Lead Singularity University Bangkok Chapter and fellow and member of a number of professional associations in the US and Asia. Dr. Kid is an avid marathon runner and globetrotter. He lives in Bangkok with his wife and a 3-year old daughter.
Naguib is the Executive Chairman of Orascom TMT Investments.
Previously, he founded Orascom Telecom Holdings and led it to become the leading regional telecom player until it merged with VimpelCom, creating the world’s 5th largest mobile telecom provider in April 2011. As part of the merger deal, Naguib spun off Orascom Telecom’s non-GSM operations and Egyptian-based telecom assets into Orascom TMT.
At international and regional levels, Naguib serves on a number of Boards, Committees, and Councils including the Advisory Committee to the NYSE Board of Directors, the International Advisory Board to the National Bank of Kuwait, the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, and the Arab Thought Foundation.
Naguib is also the recipient of numerous honorary degrees, industry awards, and civic honors, including the “Legion d’honneur,“ the highest award given by the French Republic for outstanding services rendered to France. In July 2011, he was awarded the Honor of Commander of the Order of the “Stella della Solidarietà Italiana” (Star of Italian Solidarity). In 2006, the prestigious “Sitara-e-Quaid-e-Azam” award was conferred upon him by General Pervez Musharref for services rendered to the people of Pakistan in the field of telecom, investments, and social sector work.
Naguib holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a Masters in Technical Administration from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich) and a Diploma from the German Evangelical School in Cairo.
Stephen Kennedy Smith
Stephen Kennedy Smith is a principal at the Park Agency - Joseph P. Kennedy Enterprises, the Kennedy family office, and an investor and entrepreneur. Stephen is also currently a lecturer at the Sloan school of Management in the visionary investing program, as well as a fellow at the Connection Science Group at MIT. He's currently involved as a board member, advisory member or partner in a number of health care and technology businesses, including, Locomobi transportation, The Marwood Group - a healthcare-focused strategic advisory firm; Pear Therapeutics, a digital health care company Resolute Bio, and New Frontier Bio. His current investment and business focus is scaling innovative healthcare, and neuroscience companies. Stephen is a board member of the John F. Kennedy Library, and The Joseph P Kennedy Foundation. Stephen was Deputy Campaign Manager for Senator Edward Kennedy during his Presidential and Senatorial campaigns, Youth Coordinator for the campaign of Mario Cuomo, and served on the New England Steering Committee for the Obama presidential campaign.
Mark McConnell recently co-founded New Harvest Investment Management (NHIM), which aspires to be a significant institutional buyer of Australian agricultural farms and businesses. Mark is Co-Founder and Director of The Citadel Group Limited (ASX:CGL), which specializes in secure enterprise information management in complex environments, primarily Health, National Security and Defence industries. Mark cofounded Citadel in 2000 and the firm now has over 250 employees across Australia. A prolific angel investor, McConnell has been a member of the BRW Young Rich list since 2004. Mark is the only entrepreneur to take three separate companies into the BRW “Fast 100” List. Mark founded and ran a series of private equity funds which managed >$800M of inbound investment into the Australian mining and property industries between 2007-2013. Mark currently sits on the boards of a number of private and public businesses and is an active member of several charity and sporting organizations.

Wael is the Managing Director & Senior Vice President of Government Relations in Egypt at Careem (the Uber of the Middle East). He is also Regional Manager of Egypt & North Africa at Google. Prior to that he was the Regional Business Lead at Google X in Middle East and Africa. In this role, he focused on building businesses and partnership models to enable Google X’s innovation in those regions.
Before joining Google X, Wael was Google’s Head of Agencies for the Middle East and North Africa as well as the Regional Manager of Google Egypt and North Africa.
Wael’s career spans 25+ years in the technology industry, and includes previous roles at 3Com, Oracle, and IBM.
He is considered one of the leading figures in the Middle East and Africa with regards to technology and innovation.
Wael holds a B.Sc. in Computer & Communications Engineering with Distinction from Ain Shams University in Egypt.
